ABOUT THE CHWELE PROJECT





WE ARE WORKING WITH A church IN CHWELE, KENYA



Chwele, Kenya has a steadily growing group (ecclesia) of members and over 100 Sunday School students. They are eager to teach and continue to learn the Word of God. Because of issues with the ceiling, external doors, and lack of electricity, meeting in person any other time than during daylight hours is nearly impossible.

Our Outreach Initiatives



Fortify the Meeting Hall



To making meeting for Sunday Service and Bible Study more conducive, the ceiling needs to be lowered below the rafters to reduce outside noise, especially rain. The front doors also need reinforcing to ensure the hall can be properly secured once electronic equipment is installed.



Relocate the Outhouse / Latrine



The outhouse / latrine is located in an area that regularly floods making it very difficulty if not impossible to access. Working and accessible facilities are essential to accommodating the larger groups that meet at the hall.



Provide Preaching Materials & Support



In order to continue their knowledge and pursue preaching efforts, materials such as books, booklets and pamphlets are needed. We plan to periodically send barrels to Kenya to supply them with these essential materials. Shipments to Kenya take several months to arrive and can be costly.



Run Electricity and Internet Access



Electricity, a luxury in the past is now a necessity to conduct regular indoor meetings and power an internet connection. Internet access is an integral part of accessing bible studies, classes and biblical materials on the web. Upgrading the building with these utilities is also crucial to the group's (ecclesia's) continued growth.
